Alex Fang

Chief Development Officer

Alex Fang joined the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation in 2026 as Chief Development Officer. He brings deep experience across philanthropy and social impact, having previously served as Vice President of Philanthropy at LifeMoves, Chief Enterprise Officer at Philanthropy University, and Head of Social Impact at OneValley.

Alex co-founded and served as CEO of Surf For Life, an NGO that builds critical infrastructure in the global south. He is also a co-founder and board member of RoundZero, a philanthropic venture fund established to accelerate promising social impact technology into the marketplace.

Alex holds a BA in Communication from UC San Diego, a Master’s in Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany, and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
