Cristina Huezo

Vice President, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

Cristina is Vice President at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), the philanthropic organization founded by Mark Zuckerberg and Dr. Priscilla Chan, where she leads their Family Giving and established CZI’s efforts to support the local community.

She has worked in philanthropy, nonprofits, and government for over 20 years, with a focus on creating opportunity for underserved populations. Her philanthropic experience includes the Gates Foundation and Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation. She began her career at the National Council of La Raza.

Cristina is on the Board of The Primary School and is the past Board Chair of Grantmakers for Education. She was an Education Pioneer and served as a Jessie M. Unruh Fellow in the California State Legislature. Cristina is a graduate of UCLA and the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area where she resides with her husband and three children.
