Pamela Baer

Community Leader

Pam Baer is a native Texan who graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a marketing/finance degree. Pam started her career in New York City, then married and started a family in San Francisco. Pam has become a San Francisco-based community leader whose philanthropic work includes projects related to social good and healthcare for the vulnerable.

Pam became involved with San Francisco General Hospital after experiencing their life-saving care on behalf of her son. She joined the board of the SFGH Foundation in 2002 and served until 2019, at which point she was named a Lifetime Director. Pam remains very involved today with the Foundation and the Transform Mental and Behavioral Health Fund, which she founded in 2019.

Pam also serves as a Founder’s Circle Member of Every Mother Counts (EMC), a Board Member of the Giants Community Fund, and an Advisory Board Member of Nest, an organization dedicated to improving women’s well-being and preserving important cultural traditions around the world.

In addition to her foundation work, Pam has held many trustee and board positions, such as the Contemporary Jewish Museum and Jewish Women’s Giving Circle, along with schools and initiatives that benefit her local community. Implementing solutions for society’s vulnerable issues is a passion. Pam is married to Larry Baer, CEO of the SF Giants, and together they have four children.
