We’re excited to share that San Francisco General Hospital Foundation is participating in One City Day, a citywide day of service spearheaded by Mayor Daniel Lurie and First Lady Becca Prowda, on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

On this day, San Franciscans across all 11 districts will come together to support their communities by hosting and participating in projects led by nonprofit organizations, community partners, and city departments. It’s an opportunity to connect neighbors and be part of a citywide effort. Most importantly, it reflects the values of San Francisco and helps build a lasting culture of service.

Our organization will be hosting a service project in Union Square to clean up the iconic Hearts in San Francisco. We are also partnering with local beautification projects in the Castro District, at GLIDE Memorial Church, and at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, to clean up the Hearts in their neighborhoods.

If you’d like to volunteer with us, mark your calendar for Saturday, July 11th, starting at 9AM. This will be a fun and meaningful way to volunteer alongside colleagues, and show residents what engaged civic leadership looks like in action.
