In honor of National Breastfeeding Month in August, ZSFG hosted its second annual Milk Drive in partnership with Mother’s Milk Bank. Every drop of donated breast milk will help to nourish and protect some of the most vulnerable babies here in San Francisco and across the country.

Donations support infants who are premature, separated from their birth parents, or with specific health needs and ensure that they receive essential nutrition for healthy growth and development.

Nearly 2,000 ounces of frozen milk was donated during the event. This generosity from the community helps ensure every baby has a fighting chance, no matter their start in life. This is what health equity and compassionate care looks like in action.
