The Foundation has found a new home for Nathan Sawaya’s Large Heart sculpture “Inside,” and was recently unveiled at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area. This sculpture was part of the 2024 Hearts in San Francisco sculpture series and is made up of 88,748 LEGO® bricks.

We are so excited this one-of-a-kind LEGO® heart has found a fitting home,” said Kim Meredith, CEO at SFGHF

“Hearts in San Francisco isn’t just about showcasing stunning art – we’re spreading a powerful message of hope and healing. These vibrant heart sculptures serve as beacons of our unwavering commitment to equitable health care and as a testament to the incredible artistic talent flourishing in our region. It’s our way of ensuring that the spirit of care and creativity touches lives far beyond our city limits.”

Since the inaugural year of the Hearts in SF program, more than 500 Hearts have been created, and nearly $40 million has been raised to benefit programs at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center ZSFG.
