Fundraisers and Volunteer Opportunities

Host a Drive

We are so grateful for your interest in hosting a drive.  Depending on the time of year and need at Zuckerberg San Francisco General, we collect a variety of items for patients at Zuckerberg San Francisco General.  Items may include new children’s toys, lightly used children’s books, and adult clothing.  Please contact Alyssa Angeles at aangeles@sfghf.org or (628) 206-5941 before beginning your drive, as there are specific guidelines.

Host a Fundraiser

Examples of  fundraisers our donors have hosted include marathons, art shows, and the collection of donations in lieu of gifts at birthday or anniversary parties.  In order to ensure the success of your event or project, we ask that you complete a fundraising application. Upon submission, we will review and respond within 10 working days. Download Fundraising Application

Honoring Ricki's Memory

Joe Iacocca’s brother, Ricki, passed away from AIDS in 1994. Joe was at his brother’s bedside at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center’s Ward 89 when he passed. 'Everyone was so comforting and loving at The General. The kindness has left a lasting impression on me'. After nearly 17 years of grieving silently for fear of being judged, Joe decided it was time to publicly honor Ricki’s memory. By combining his passion for running with his love for his brother, Joe keeps Ricki’s spirit alive and gives back to The General. 'I’m so grateful for all that The General has done to fight HIV/AIDS and continue to close in on a cure, and for everything the staff did for my brother'. Over the last four years, running over 30 ultra-marathons, marathons and half marathons, Joe has raised not only awareness, but nearly $2,000 in support of the HIV/AIDS work taking place at The General. We are incredibly grateful for Joe’s efforts.
