Foundation Honors Community Heroes

On February 18, the Foundation proudly honored the recipients of the 2016 Heroes & Hearts Award, recognizing their "go above and beyond" efforts that make a difference in the lives of all San Franciscans. The Foundation also honored Pam Baer with the 2016 Spirit Award, celebrating her many contributions to the Foundation. Pam Baer served on the Foundation's Board of Directors for 14 years, and in 2006 launched the wildly successful Heroes & Hearts luncheon and auction with Judy Guggenhime. Pam also conceived the popular evening event, Hearts After Dark, to attract the next generation of philanthropists in our community. [...]

Hearts in San Francisco Auction

San Francisco General Hospital Foundation announced that select large, tabletop and mini-mosaic hearts from the 2015 “Hearts in San Francisco” series are available for a charity auction on eBay beginning Monday, February 2, 2015 givingworks.ebay.com/hearts-in-sf/. The bidding window will close ten days later at 2 p.m. at the conclusion of the Heroes & Hearts Luncheon on Thursday, February 12 on the field at AT&T Park. 30/30 Run a Success!

On September 28, 2014, 45 runners, 20 volunteers, and 2 dogs came together for Antonio Garcia's 30/30 Run - a 30-kilometer footrace around San Francisco.  In addition to sharing his story and raising awareness for San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Antonio raised nearly $15,000 to support the Foundation. Antonio’s life nearly ended on August 11, 2010. He was in a severe bicycle accident that caused him to fly through the back windshield of a parked car, slicing his neck open.
